Tips and Tricks

1 The key thing to remember about writing with HTML tagging — as in the Comment box below — is what your mother always said: “If you open it, close it.” For example, <em>open emphasis (italic) and then close it </em>. (To have this happen automagically, select some text and then click the appropriate item on the toolbar.) Think of the “/” as the spring that closes a screen door. If it’s not present, you haven’t closed anything (and in this case, everything following the <em> tag will be in italic (as you sometimes see; this is why)).

2. If you use a VPN, the site host seems highly allergic to changing VPN servers in mid-session (say, from the United States to Canada) and may drop the connection with a 404 not found. Clear browser cache, restart browser, reboot machine (in that order, and hopefully not all three).
